Professor Jacques Joubert has had a distinguished career as a neurologist in South Africa and Australia. He is recognised as an international expert in the fields of stroke and headache with a particular interest in the area of integrated models of care in neurology.

Since taking up residence in Australia he has held the position of Consultant Neurologist, Department of Neurology, Royal Melbourne Hospital, St Vincent’s Private Hospital, Melbourne and Research Neurologist at the National Ageing Research Institute as well as being honorary consultant neurologist in the Department of Neurology St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne.

Alongside his full-time private neurological practice, Professor Joubert continues to pursue academic and research projects. To date he has published more than 52 peer reviewed articles, conducted twelve drug trials and established collaborative research links with international colleagues in France and in Africa.

He prides himself on treating patients with respect and compassion, a meticulous approach to clinical assessment, and thorough communication with patients and referring practitioners.
