Dr Mahesh Kodivalasa is an extensively trained Pain Management and Anaesthetics physician.
Dr Kodivalasa completed his anesthetics and pain medicine training in the United Kingdom. He was awarded the prestigious FFPMRCA (Pain Medicine) Examination Prize for his excellent academic performance. Mahesh received personnel commendation from the Faculty of Pain Medicine, Royal College of Anaesthetists.
Dr Mahesh Kodivalasa is the founding director of many innovative and highly reputed national and international pain courses attended by the delegates from the UK and abroad. He has a strong commitment and passion towards medical education. Mahesh led the East Midlands Deanery Anaesthetic Education programme for five years and, co-authored two highly reputed textbooks in anaesthesia and pain medicine.
He worked as a consultant in anaesthetics and pain medicine in the University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust, United Kingdom since 2018. Later, Mahesh led the Pain Service in the University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust, one of the highly renowned tertiary centres in the UK.
He is equally highly skillful in:
- fluoroscopy (X-Ray) guided treatment strategies,
- radiofrequency ablative procedures,
- neuromodulation therapy and
- regenerative PRP injections.
The goal of interventional therapy is to target the physical structures involved in chronic pain. This can involve a nerve, a joint, or some soft tissue. These interventions have a much higher rate of success providing relief, and restore function, and thus helping people to get their lives back.
